چکیده
Abstract Background Botrytis cinerea , the causal agent of grey mould, is a polyphagous fungus that infects wide range plants, including tomato. In many countries, Algeria, management mould challenging problem, even with chemical control. This necessitates search for other strategies. The objective this study was to evaluate biocontrol potential two rhizospheric bacterial isolates protection tomato against B. . Results On consistently provided high levels (on average 72.1% SJ19 and 52.3% SJ4). Their applications as 1:1 mixture reinforced their effect (87.8% protection), indicating compatibility use consortium. vitro, significantly inhibited mycelial growth strains, both through direct confrontation in dual-culture assays (12–69% inhibition) production volatile compounds (36–46% inhibition). isolates, applied seed treatment drench on seedlings, also showed strong growth-promoting effects tomatoes. They substantially increased length fresh weight shoots roots, well stem diameter, leaf number chlorophyll content, compared untreated plants. Conclusion bacteria tested biostimulants biofungicides mould.

One of the important and necessary practices for improving nutrients availability in sustainable agriculture is using microorganisms. Beside the negative effects of chemical fertilizers on the soil and human health, plant growth promoting rhizobacteria are known as an alternative to supply the organic nutrients of plants during the past two decades. Two Gram-negative, plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPRs), denominated as M12 and M14, were classified by 16S rDNA sequencing as Burkholderia graminis species. Both strains were shown to produce a variety of N-acyl-homoserine lactone (AHL) quorum sensing (QS) signalling molecules. The involvement of these molecules in plant growth promotion and the induction of protection against salt str...

Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) belonging to Pseudomonas spp. are being exploited commercially for plant protection to induce systemic resistance against various pests and diseases. Mixtures of di!erent PGPR strains have resulted in increased e$cacy by inducing systemic resistance against several pathogens attacking the same crop. Seed-treatment with PGPR causes cell wall structural...

Studies were done to evaluate specific strains of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) for induced resistance against cucumber mosaic cucumovirus (CMV) in tomato. In greenhouse experiments where plants were challenged by mechanical inoculation of CMV, the percentage of symptomatic plants in the most effective PGPR treatments ranged from 32 to 58%, compared with 88 to 98% in the nonbacter...
